  • Capital Region BOCES
    • Whether you’re interested in launching a new career or learning English as a second language, the Adult Education program at the Capital Region Career & Technical School is tailored to meet your occupational and educational needs. Programs range from certified welder and heating, ventilation and air conditioning training to English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).   • Franklin, Essex, Hamilton BOCES
    • This program is commonly referred to as the Adult High School Equivalency Program and is designed to improve the educational and employment opportunities of adults in the Franklin-Essex-Hamilton BOCES catchment area. A variety of adult programming is offered throughout the area including Malone, Saranac Lake, Tupper Lake and the Akwesasne Mohawk Reserve. Program options consist of morning, afternoon or evening sessions. In addition, opportunities to participate in distance learning (home study) are available for those students who are unable to attend traditional programming. FEH BOCES website
  • Hamilton, Fulton, Montgomery BOCES
    • Adult Literacy services, including skill development and High School Equivalency preparation classes are available in Amsterdam and Gloversvillle. English as a Second Language classes are available in Amsterdam. HFM BOCES website

    • Questar III’s Adult Education and Workforce Development is designed to provide learning opportunities that tap into the potential of the students we serve and then link them with meaningful employment that recognizes the skills, talents, and abilities they have developed.   • Schenectady City School District- Washington Irving Center
    • Washington Irving Educational Center is located in the heart of Schenectady’s Hamilton Hill neighborhood and has been serving the adult population of Schenectady county for over 50 years. In addition to offering career readiness and vocational training programs, Washington Irving serves over 1,000 adult students (over 21) and 250 youth students (under 21) who are pursuing a New York State High School Equivalency Diploma by taking the TASC test (Test Assessing Secondary Completion – formerly GED), each year.   • Literacy New York Fulton, Montgomery & Schoharie Counties

    • Literacy New York – Fulton, Montgomery, and Schoharie Counties provides confidential instruction by trained staff and volunteers.   • Literacy of Northern NY Jefferson and Lewis Counties
    • Literacy of Northern New York trains volunteers to work one-to-one with adults in Jefferson and Lewis Counties who need help with reading, writing, math or English as a second language.
