Course Description: PREREQUISITE: LANGUAGE COMPLEXITY I -Grammar and Introduction to Language Complexity
Course Description: This workshop will continue to build on the different types of activities that teachers can do to move their students from simple to more complex responses. Topics covered will include a grammar review, transition words, phrases and clauses. The shared activities will relate to sentence complexity, elaboration, organization, and cohesion. In the second half of the workshop participants will create their own course materials with instructor guidance. Participants should bring appropriate resources such as an upcoming unit, vocabulary lists, and assignments. Each participant should leave this workshop with a minimum of three new activities to be implemented immediately.
