Please print out the certificate upon completion and bring it to class with you. You will be emailed complete instructions when you sign up for the training.
Description:
Learning to Achieve is designed to build teacher effectiveness in providing instruction for adults with learning disabilities (LD). It includes an integrated set of research-based resources and professional development materials.
A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.
* Definition of Learning Disabilities: (Review from Session 1).
* Learning Disabilities and Neuroscience (Online Module Debrief) – Focuses on the underlying neurobiology of learning disabilities.
* Reading Disabilities: Covers the considerations and strategies for working with adults with LD and all adult learners who struggle with reading.
* Written Expression Disabilities: Focuses on LD that affect writing and offers strategies to help all adult learners improve writing skills.
*During this workshop session, pictures and/or video recordings may be taken for the purposes of funding deliverables, on-line learning, news releases, and other purposes.
