Description:
The CUNY TABE 11/12 Reading session delves into the reading demands of the new TABE and explores the challenges we face as teachers in incorporating TABE prep into our reading lessons. We will focus on how we can build students’ confidence in reading through methods that help develop stamina and fluency both inside and outside of the classroom. We have a wide range of materials and activities available for general TABE reading practice, as well as for helping students to use context clues, identify main ideas and supporting details, and make inferences when challenged with lengthy texts.
We look forward to your participation.
*During this workshop session, pictures and/or video recordings may be taken for the purposes of funding deliverables, on-line learning, news releases, and other purposes.
