Course Description: Enhance Your ESOL Classes with Field-tested Online Resources
The use of online programs, incorporated into your ESOL teaching, will create great results from building rapport to empowering your students to access information outside of class. Join the presenters as they introduce you to these three, free, online tools: Edmodo, Jeopardy and YouTube. Participants will spend at least 75% of the workshop on a computer for an orientation to these tools, followed by ample time to adapt these resources for their classrooms. This interactive workshop is designed for instructors who already know how to navigate the web and who have the option of using a computer for ESOL instruction. In an ideal situation the students should also have access to the internet via a computer at home, ESOL class, the public library, or a smart phone.
PLEASE NOTE: Google maps is not completely accurate for this location. Please proceed north on Gick Rd to the stop sign. Continue north and take your next right (Plaza 15 Rd.). Follow the road as it makes a right angle right turn and you will see the BOCES building. Drive about half way down the left side of the building for the main entrance for adult education.
*During this workshop session, pictures and/or video recordings may be taken for the purposes of funding deliverables, on-line learning, news releases, and other purposes.
