Literacy New York Fulton Montgomery and Schoharie Counties provides free, confidential literacy services—including reading, writing, math, ELL tutoring, and GED preparation—through trained staff and volunteers. Instruction is flexible, with tutors and learners meeting at convenient public locations across a service area spanning over 1,000 square miles.

Literacy Volunteers Clinton, Essex, Franklin
Literacy Volunteers of Clinton, Essex, and Franklin Counties strives to empower residents who seek to improve their literacy skills. Serving the North Country, Adirondack Park, and the Champlain Valley, we are committed to fulfilling this mission by collaborating with partner agencies and recruiting qualified tutors who assist adult learners with achieving their personal, educational, and employment goals. LVCEF cultivates supportive connections and leverages volunteers’ expertise to meet each student’s individual needs.

Literacy Volunteers Capital Region
Literacy Volunteers Capital Region provides free English, math, financial, and computer literacy instruction to about 250 adult learners each year through trained volunteer tutors offering one-to-one and small group support. Funded by grants and community donations, the organization focuses on serving adults with low literacy, including English language learners. Their goal is to ensure access to high-quality, well-organized literacy and language instruction for all who need it.
